According to an August 2020 report published by the American Dental Association and their Health Policy Institute, half of dentists said that obtaining personal protective equipment is a top three challenge for them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many months into the pandemic, practices are still struggling to source and obtain the proper safety equipment. We heard from our customers who had donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to fellow healthcare businesses to help fight the virus. Our team was inspired by their stories and willingness to give.
Soon we realized that 46% of our practices had been participating in PPE donations. This drove more urgency from our team to take action and do something for the providers and staff donating their time, money, and resources to the cause. Thanks to one generous supplier, we were able to secure a large amount of PPE for our customers in need.
In July 2020, we shipped 266 boxes of medical-grade PPE to practices nationwide. We’d like to thank iHealth Labs for bringing the idea to life.
