Introducing NexHealth Appointment Journeys

Customize the patient journey for each appointment type, creating an exceptional experience for every patient 

We’re thrilled to introduce NexHealth Appointment Journeys, one of the most requested features from NexHealth customers. 

Patients get frustrated when they receive general information on procedures without context on how to prepare. The problem: software could not differentiate between appointment types – e.g., a  new patient cleaning, cosmetic consultation, or wisdom tooth removal – in the practice management system, making it impossible to send patients appointment-specific information.

NexHealth Appointment Journeys allows you to automate a personalized patient journey. You can now send out appointment-specific pre-procedure instructions, forms based on different situations, reminders on care instructions and more. 

For example, if a patient schedules a Wisdom Tooth removal, you can add them to a “Wisdom Tooth Appointment Template.” The patient will automatically receive specific forms around anesthesia, reminders about what drugs they can take before the procedure, when they need to start fasting. And after the procedure they’ll get reminders on follow-up appointments, recommendations on foods they can and cannot eat, and how to leave a review.

Bi-directional integration with your practice management system

We believe our products should be natively customizable, giving practices control over scheduling and communicating with patients. What’s more, we know all the data collected needs to sync with your practice management system. NexHealth builds all our products with the PMS sync in mind, making it easy to schedule and manage patient information while keeping your PMS records seamlessly up-to-date.

Getting started

NexHealth Appointment Journeys will be live for our Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix Enterprise, Denticon, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, OpenDental, and Practice Web customers starting on July 20th.
